Our office has reopened to the public with regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Assessment related filing deadlines are as follows:

  • Property Tax Exemption Deadline - June 30, 2020 (Extended from original deadline of April 1, 2020)
  • Personal Property Return Deadline - June 15, 2020 (Extended from original deadline of May 15, 2020)
  • 2019pay2020 Appeal Deadline - June 15, 2020

We encourage taxpayers to submit Property Tax Exemption applications, Personal Property Returns and appeals by mail or email at assessor@lakecountyin.org.

NOTES:

  • The Governor has suspended the deadline for submitting property tax exemption applications from April 1, 2020 until Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
  • The April 8, 2020 PTABOA meeting has been cancelled. All hearings scheduled for April 8, 2020 will be rescheduled at a later date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • The April 22, 2020 PTABOA meeting has been cancelled. All hearings scheduled for April 22, 2020 will be rescheduled at a later date. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The data on this website is updated monthly, with the exception of the Property Record Card PDF reports which are updated annually, corresponding with the Indiana Assessor code calendar January 1st to December 31st of each year. If you need a more current copy of the Property Record Card, you can obtain one from the Assessor’s Office.

IC 36-1-8.5-9(b)
A unit shall restrict access to the home address of a covered person until the covered person submits a written request to the unit to allow public access to the person’s home address on the public property data base web site.
